Breakthrough is led by its talismanic 4th Degree International Instructor, Andrew Delaney. Andrew is very well known nationally within Tae Kwon-Do circles, respected by his peers for the work and standards that he sets for himself and his students.
Andrew started Tae Kwon-Do at the age of 18 and was honoured with his 1st Degree in 1984. Andrew went on to compete successfully in many competitions and tournaments before moving onto his true calling, the teaching and instruction of others. He is now an established International Instructor and referee.
Andrew also holds a Sports Science Degree and is a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist. This further education helps him to bring modern understanding of the mental, physical, and health aspects of personal and elite sport to the training of his students.
Andrew also understands that enjoying your training is fundamental to achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. His fun and inspirational approach, coupled with the five tenants of Tae Kwon-do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, and Indomitable spirit) are what make Breakthrough the great environment that it is.
“Andrew has help transform my daughters confidence. He is such an enthusiastic and inspirational coach” – Adam Hislop
